Evolution Series™ LONG HAUL is a flexible microwave long distance system for all-indoor or split-mount installations.
High power transceiver units with combiner space diversity and hitless n+1 protection switching make the Evolution Series™ LONG HAUL an ideal choice for long distance transport networks.
The embedded optional X-connect combined with a wide range of user interfaces make the solution a complete multiservice long haul radio system.
Choice of SDH/SONET interfaces or the multichannel scalable Native Ethernet interface makes the migration strategy to all IP networks simple.
The Evolution Series™ LONG HAUL is based on the common platform concept of the Evolution Series™.
A common scalable hardware, simpler deployment, reduced spares needs and a common competence requirement, reduces the operation cost for the network operator.

The unique split-mount option makes the solution even more effective. By mounting the transceiver units outdoor in a low loss branching arrangement, the heat is removed from the building/cabin and the reduced waveguide loss improves the system availability.

Details
Evolution Series™ LONG HAUL can be configured as multi-channel link for SDH/SONET networks. Interface selection range from E1/T1/E3/DS3 and GbE/FE with the optional embedded X-connect, to STM-1/OC-3 and STM-4/OC-12.
LONG HAUL is also ideally suited for an all-IP/MPLS core network. The system can be configured with Gigabit Ethernet interface for multi-channel transmission with Link Capacity Adjustment Scheme. This optimised link aggregation technique allows for a single packet flow to be distributed over multiple radio channels.
Evolution Series™ LONG HAUL utilises a scalable Universal IFU with plug-in slots for radio interfaces as well as selectable user interfaces. Up to 5 IFUs can be stacked together in a single system.
