Nera Networks signs USD 7 million WiMAX contract

Nera Networks has signed a USD 7 million contract with a global WiMAX supplier in the Middle East, for delivery in the second half of 2009. The contract further strengthens the company's position as one of the major vendors of microwave transmission systems in the region.
Nera Networks will be responsible for design, supply and implementation of the transmission part of a WiMAX project connecting up to 450 WiMAX sites.
Overall, Nera Networks will provide 700 hops of high capacity transmission with its Evolution Series™ Microwave Radios on an IP based platform.
