NetMaster NMS with new features
NetMaster NMS
Version R10M00 has now been released with Inventory Management support via Northbound SNMP interface and support for Eltek SmartPack software version 4.3.

The modular architecture of the NetMaster NMS is again showing its advantages, enabling Nera Networks to deliver new functionality on extremely short notice compared to most competitors.
“A customer faced us with some new requirements for collecting inventory information from a large installed base of network elements, with big differences in protocol and info sharing capabilities,” says Pål Dyvik, Nera Networks product manager NMS.
“Less than 6 weeks later, the new software is now ready for installation, providing one single point of integration and a common data model for the managed equipment,” Dyvvik explains.
This new feature means that a higher-order inventory management system (IMS) only needs to relate to NetMaster's already collected and unified information about the current state of the network. All managed elements, their installed modules, hardware and software versions are reported in a common format.
Any change in the network - a new interface card or an entirely new radio - is immediately reported.
And finally, the power of integration via NetMaster means that the IMS only relates to a single, stable SNMP interface in NetMaster. Whatever happens to NE versions or types as their network evolves does not affect the investment they put into development or customization of the NetMaster adapter of their IMS.
Improved interface for Eltek SmartPack 4.3
Over the last few months, both Eltek and Nera Networks developers have improved their side of the EM to NMS integration, and NetMaster now provides a continuously updated view of the operational state of the power supplies.
The new SmartPack 4.3 integration covers Eltek Minipack, Flatpack2 and Powerpack types, and enables management within the same maps, reports, alarm lists and the other powerful tools that you know from radio and multiplexor management in NetMaster.
Eltek Minipack, Flatpack2 and Powerpack are trademarks of Eltek Valere, a sister company of Nera Networks.
