June 26 2008 marks a new era in Nera production history with the opening of the 7,000 square meters production- and office facility in Liptovský Hrádok.
"The week before the official opening we had a new output record of radio units," says Ole-Lars Øye, general director of the Slovakian factory.

General director Ole Lars Øye during his opening remarks in Slovakia.
"This shows that we are now up and running at full speed already, only months after the construction work started in the fall of 2007."
The offical opening included both local government officials from the Liptovský area and the Norwegian ambassador to Slovakia.
Mr. Øye's goal is to further increase the production capacity and secure a high quality for the radios shipped from the factory.
"With our 60-year experience of producing radio equipment, combined with the highly qualified Slovakian personnel we definitely have a positive outlook on the future," Øye concludes.
